Silverstone Auctions host their second Porsche sale on 15 October, when 65 examples of the marque are due to go under the hammer. Top lot is a 2004 Carrera GT (estimate £440,000 – 480,000), delivered new to Florida, the car shows 30,180km and features a RUF suspension raising system.
Other highlights include a 25,000-mile 1991 911 Carrera RS NGT, chassis number 76 out of 290 (estimate £135,000 – 155,000); a 1972 911S 2.4 which has covered just 1,000 dry miles since the completion of its nut-and-bolt restoration in 2007 (estimate £180,000 – 220,000); a 1975 911 2.7 MFi Carrera Targa, one of six UK supplied cars (estimate £130,000 – 160,000); and a 1968 911 ‘T’ SWB, owned by the vendor since 1988 (estimate £85,000 – 110,000).
Coys ‘Spirit of Motoring’ sale at Ascot on the 8th features a pair of Lamborghinis; a 15,900-mile 2009 Murciélago LP 670-4 SV, one of just 28 right-hand drive examples produced (estimate £260,000 – 280,000); and a 1974 Urraco, the subject of a recent restoration by renowned marque experts Colin Clarke Engineering (estimate £75,000 – 85,000).
Notable entries also include a 1962 Rolls-Royce Silver Cloud II Drophead Coupe Adaption by H. J. Mulliner (estimate £230,000 – 270,000); a 1934 Bentley 3½ Litre Vanden Plas Tourer (estimate £100,000 – 120,000); and a right-hand drive 1997 Ferrari F355 Spider, with a manual gearbox and 27,000 miles on the odometer (estimate £85,000 – 90,000).
H&H returns to the Imperial War Museum at Duxford on 12 October where the star attraction is a 1924 Bentley 3/4.5 litre Tourer with a pre-sale estimate of £250,000 – 300,000.
Significant entries among the Aston Martins on offer include a 1954 DB2/4 (estimate £180,000 – 220,000); a 1930 International 1.5 Litre Short Chassis (estimate £110,000 – 150,000); a 1979 V8 Volante (estimate £160,000 – 180,000); and a 1969 DBS that featured in the TV series For the Love of Cars (estimate £160,000 – 180,000).
Cheffins will offer a 1907 Rover 6 at their sale on 15 October. Last restored in the 1990s, the car has recently received further work and has been authenticated by the Veteran Car Club (estimate £24,000 – 26,000).
Herefordshire Vintage Auctions 20 October sale includes a 1965 Volkswagen Beetle which has been in single-family ownership since a nut-and-bolt restoration in 1991 (estimate £4,000 – 5,000).
1960s classics set to go across the block at Mathewsons 22 October sale include a 1967 Bristol 410 (estimate £25,000 – 30,000) and a 1963 Alfa Romeo 2600 Sprint Coupe (estimate £25,000 – 30,000).
A 47,000-mile 1978 Aston Martin V8 heads the entries at Richard Edmonds on 22 October, with a pre-sale estimate of £90,000 – 100,000.
Highlights among the Porsches on offer at Barons 25 October sale includes a 2003 911 Turbo (estimate £33,000 – 40,000); a 1986 944 Turbo (estimate £14,500 – 17,000) and a 1967 912 SWB (estimate £33,000 – 36,000).
A one-owner 67,000-mile 1973 BMW 2002 touring has been consigned to SWVA’s 28 October sale. Believed to be one of only 13 useable examples left in the UK, the car was purchased new by an RAF officer who has maintained a comprehensive history file which includes the original bill of sale, plus every invoice and MOT (estimate £7,500 – 8,500).
Topping the inventory at Classics Central’s 30 October sale is a three-owner right-hand drive 1965 Mercedes-Benz 230 SL, with a pre-sale estimate of £60,000 – 80,000.
Other highlights include a 22,744-mile 1989 Ford Sierra Sapphire Cosworth (estimate £26,000 – 28,000); a 1989 BMW Alpina C2 2.5 Convertible (estimate £15,000 – 17,000); a 1984 Lancia Gamma Coupe, showing 65,000 miles (estimate £8,000 – 10,000); and a 1988 BMW M635 CSi with 26 stamps in the service book and a full engine rebuild by Munich Legends (estimate £20,000 – 22,000).
