Europe’s largest automotive-themed private collection sale takes place on 25-27 November as RM Sotheby’s host their Duemila Ruote auction during the Milano AutoClassica show. The entire collection of more than 800 cars, boats, bikes and automobilia will be offered with no reserve after they were seized by the Italian government. Notable marques among the 423 cars on offer include 72 Porsches; 62 Jaguars; 44 Ferraris; 34 Alfa Romeos; 29 Lancias; 23 Maseratis; and 17 Mercedes-Benzes.
Heading the sale will be a 1966 Ferrari 275 GTB/6C Alloy which has been in single-family ownership for the past 36 years (estimate €2,400,000 – 2,800,000).
Other significant Ferraris on offer include a 1969 365 GTB/4 Daytona (estimate €650,000 – 800,000); a 26,761-km 1992 F40 (estimate €725,000 – 875,000); a 1969 365 GTC (estimate €550,000 – 650,000); and a 1977 512 BB (estimate €275,000 – 325,000).
Other ‘big-ticket’ cars in the collection include a 2004 Maserati MC12, one of only 50 produced, with less than 6,000km from new (estimate €1,100,000 – 1,300,000); a 7,500-km 2005 Porsche Carrera GT (estimate €650,000 – 800,000); a 1988 Porsche 959 ‘Komfort’ showing less than 29,200km from new (estimate €600,000 – 700,000); and a 1994 Bugatti EB110 GT (estimate €275,000 – 325,000).
Osenat stage their EPOQU'AUTO sale in Chassieu, France on 6 November where the star attractions include a 1975 Porsche 911 Carrera 2.7 Targa (estimate €150,000 – 200,000); a 1949 Delahaye 135M Cabriolet Chapron (estimate €150,000 – 180,000); a 1976 Aston Martin V8 Series 3, refurbished in 2000 (estimate €130,000 – 160,000); and a 1968 Mercedes-Benz 250 SE Cabriolet (estimate €80,000 – 100,000).
Other highlights include a 1970 Jaguar E-Type Series II 4.2 Roadster (estimate €60,000 – 70,000); a 1933 AC 16/56 Type L30 (estimate €40,000 – 60,000); and a 1964 Lancia Flavia (estimate €20,000 – 30,000).
